Thirteen works of Professor Hossein Mahjoubi, who is known as the "Paradise painter" among art people, have been dedicated to the University of Tehran, and during a ceremony on Saturday, May 15, 2021, coinciding with the commemoration day of Hakim Abolqasem Ferdowsi and also the birthday of Professor Hossein Mahjoubi, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, the president of Tehran University, the people of culture and art, as well as the family of this elevated professor, opened a permanent exhibition in one of the rooms of Negarestan Garden Museum under the title of "Professor Hossein Mahjoubi's Artworks Room".

The works dedicated to Negarestan Garden are among the works that have not been seen or are less seen and are from different styles, from different periods of the life of this pioneer artist.

Professor Hossein Mahjoubi was born in 1930 in Lahijan and in 1959 he graduated from the faculty of fine arts of Tehran University in the field of painting and at the same time he also took architecture courses. Mahjoubi and his paintings are known in Iran and the world, and a selection of his works are kept in prestigious museums and treasures, and he has always been successful in the art market.

In addition to painting, Professor Hossein Mahjoubi also carried out the architecture, design and construction of Saei Park in Tehran in 1963 and supervised the construction of Mellat, Niavaran, Laleh, Jamshidiyeh, Kurosh and Khazaneh parks as well as the first desert parks in Iran.

He founded the Mahjoubi House Museum in 1974, and with more than 90 solo shows and participation in hundreds of group exhibitions in Iran and other countries, he is considered one of the most prolific and distinguished artists. On Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the closing ceremony of the 6th International Art for Peace Festival, the Art for Peace Award was presented to Professor Mahjoubi and three other artists.
